

Jose (Joe) Montes Delgado, 63, passed away on October 25, 2010 in Kuwait City, Kuwait, where he supported the U.S. Army as a Communications Expert for Combat Support Associates (CSA). Joe was born on May 26, 1947, in Brownsville, TX, to Margarita Montes Delgado and Jose Antonio Delgado. Joe was a proud Vietnam Veteran who served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1966-1970. Joe retired from a long career at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in Brownsville, TX. Joe received several awards for his role in supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom while working for CSA at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait since 2003. Those who knew him well described him as someone who did whatever was necessary to provide “the best” for his friends and family. Joe is survived by his wife Cherry Belle Antonio Delgado; sons Eric Delgado, J.D. Delgado, and Nicolas Delgado; daughters Monica Delgado-Lucas and Laura Delgado; mother Margarita Montes Delgado; brother Rodolfo (Rudy) Delgado; sister Christina Delgado Salazar; grandchildren Cameron Delgado, Gabriela Delgado and Judah Delgado; numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Jose Antonio Delgado and his first-born son Ted Delgado.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at Christ the King
