Jose was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, son, husband, and friend. He was always there to lend a helping hand, no matter the time or day. His presence brought laughter and joy to any room he was in. A natural caregiver, Jose took care of everyone around him, always knowing just the right thing to say. His dedication to his family and friends was unwavering—he worked tirelessly to provide, support, and uplift those he loved. His attention to detail and precision made him an invaluable worker, but it was his generosity, humor, and humility that truly made his light shine. His smile, laughter, and playfulness will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew him.
Jose is survived by his wife: Maria G. Ruiz; his children: Jose Hinojosa (Laura), Emily Lynette Hinojosa and Anthony Hinojosa (Diana); his mother: Jacoba Hinojosa; his stepdaughter: Nahomi; his siblings: Rita Garza (Joel), Cipriano Hinojosa (Liliana), Beatriz Porras (Marco), Dora Garza (Pierre), Amalia Hinojosa, Maria Elena Hinojosa, Margarita Burgess (Josh) and Pedro Hinojosa (Michelle).
Jose was preceded in death by his daughter: Aimee Lizet Hinojosa †; his father: Cipriano Hinojosa †; his grandfather: Jose Hinojosa †.
A visitation for Jose will be held Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM with a Rosary at 1pm and a Chapel Service at 2 pm in Chapel of Angels, at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521. A burial will occur Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mc Davitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521.
