Juan was an unique person and it was fun to spend time with him. It was always an adventure to go fishing with him. He was generous and kind and had a wonderful sense of humor. Our thoughts go out to his family.

He was a great fisherman and Juan loved his family so much, he was always beaming with pride over the various accomplishments. He would laugh for hours and was always trying to make others smile. He included all at any event and was very loved by lots of people of the community of Brownsville.

A great buddy and one of the best fisherman that I have ever met. He loved to fish for trout and red drum on the lower Laguna Madre. He taught many young men to fish and to be stewards of our natural resources. He will be missed but not forgotten. Rest in Peace and condolences to Blanca and the rest of the family.

I will always have such a great memory of your kindness when a boy broke my heart. You knew the best answer was a day of fishing! I had such a peaceful day with you and Susie that day. Now, anytime I see a beach I immediately think of that wonderful day of fishing. I bet you are up in heaven teaching others to fish too. Thank you Juan. Rest in peace.
