

Mr. Raya passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by his family. He owned and operated Hortencia Bakery and Grocery until the age of 79. He was a devoted husband, father and was a well know Baker; especially known for his “chocolate donuts”. Mr. Raya was always willing to help others, for he had a heart of gold.
The family would like to send a heartfelt thanks to his attending physicians and staff for all the compassionate care throughout the years to Dr. Carlos Gonzalez Angulo, Dr. Juan Martinez, Dr. Balesh Sharma, Dr. Danilo Asase and Dr. Willie Teo-Ong; and a special thanks to In Home Health Care nurse Mark, Safe Haven Hospice nurse Gabriel and Jared and Chaplain Oscar.
He is preceded in death by his parents Maria Mercado and Trinidad Raya, wife Enedina C. Raya, sister Maria Dolores Raya and daughter Josefina Raya.
Mr. Raya is survived by his five sons, Juan (Mary Alice) Raya Jr., Ramiro (Maribel) Raya, Jose (Olga) Trinidad Raya, Leonardo Raya and Rogelio Raya; six daughters, Maria Dolores (Indalecio Carlos) Rojano, Enedina (Earl) Spencer, Josefina (Gilberto) Manzano, Francisca Raya, Patricia (Mario) Vega, Rosa Maria Raya; thirteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
