Juan Manuel Urrutia (Border Patrol Agent), age 45 of Brownsville Texas, passed away May 28,2021. He was born in Brownsville, Texas on July 28, 1975 to Jose de Jesus and Maria Teresa Urrutia. He was proceeded in death by his father Jose De Jesus , mother Maria Teresa and brother Jose de Jesus.
It is with a heavy heart that I inform you of the death of Border Patrol Agent Juan M. Urrutia who passed away Friday, May 28, 2021 after a long and courageous battle with COVID-19.
Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. He will continue to live in our memories and through the actions of those he mentored and developed.
Juan is survived by his wife, Shayla Lee Urrutia; and his precious dog Harley. Father-in-law Adan Narvaez and mother-in-law Paige Betz; brother Carlos(Victoria) Urrutia, sister Maria Del Rosario Barron, sister Jovita Urrutia, brother Martin Jaime(Mary Cynthia) Urrutia, brother David(Erica) Urrutia, brother-in-law Ivan Lee Narvaez, brother-in-law Trey Betz and sister-in-law Sommer Jess Gutierrez.
Juan is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Juan will be held Monday, June 7, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM in Chapel of Peace and Chapel of Angels at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. A mass will be held Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Immaculate Conception Church, 1218 E Jefferson, Brownsville, Texas 78520. Followed by a burial at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521.
Serving as pallbearers are The United States Border Patrol Agents and Martin Jaime Urrutia - Sargent First Class Retired Army.
