Maria Isabel Almanza, age 42, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 31, 2018 with family by her side. She was born to Ruben M. Almanza (+) and Maria Almanza Tovar on July 15, 1975. Isabel was diagnosed with Thymic Carcinoma in late 2014 and courageously fought this hard battle. No matter how hard the fight, she always had a smile and the will to keep going. She never showed weakness and was grateful for the support of her friends and family. On behalf of the Almanza family, we would like to thank MD Anderson doctors and staff, Kindred Hospice staff, her Rich’s Products family and countless family and friends that gave their support and love throughout her journey. Special thanks to our Olivares family that took care of Isabel during her visits to Houston. Isabel is preceded in death by her father, Ruben M. Almanza, aunts, uncles and cousins. She is survived by her daughter, Alexandra Bradshaw; siblings, Norma A. (Alfonso) Gomez, Andrea (Juan) Ramos, Ruben (Marianela) Almanza Jr., Hector (Minnie) Almanza, Ester (Omar) Leal, Claudia (Bob) Castro; cousin, Patricia Olivares; 13 nieces and nephews; and one great-nephew. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 from 1pm to 9pm with a Rosary at 7pm at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista. Mass will be on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 3pm at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church followed by a committal service to Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
