Maria G. Arizmendi, 85, entered eternal rest Wednesday, January 5, 2011 in Brownsville, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Arturo Arizmendi; and a son, Jose Luis Arizmendi. Maria is survived by her children, Sergio (Anita) Arizmendi, Everardo (Maria +) Arizmendi, Maria Elena (Candelario) Cienfuegos, Janie (George) Saldaña, Sylvia A. Garcia, Leticia (Jaime) Castañeda, and Oscar (Diana) Arizmendi; daughter-in-law, Raquel Arizmendi; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Manuela Manzano, Raquel Morales, Rosa Cardenas, and Lupita Perales. Visitation will be held Friday, January 7, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with the holy rosary to be prayed at 7:00. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ The King Catholic Church with interment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista Funeral Home, Cemetery and Mausoleum.
