

“Beloved wife, mother, and grandma. Maria Guadalupe (Lupita) was a retired BISD teacher and a youth director for Our Lady of Guadalupe and Christ the King Catholic Church. American Legion Unit 43 Auxiliary officer, Honor Guard, and Tip o Tex Little Miss Kickball coach. She was an avid gardener and loved spending time with her sisters going to Las Vegas.”
She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Jose and Hipolita Valdez; her four brothers, Jose, Alfredo, Enrique, and Edmidio Valdez; and her two sisters, Dolores Valdez and Carmen V. Ayala.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Raul J. Leal Jr.; her five children, Belinda Leal Rodriguez, Roy (Anna) Leal, Gloria (Cesario) Montalvo, Eva Lorena (Victor) Cuellar, and Ralph Leal; her two brothers, Luis Valdez and Juan Valdez; her two sisters, Jacoba Shepard and Elodia V. Moreno; and her eleven grandchildren, Roy Jr., Mark, Raul, Roman, Yvette, Samantha, Victoria, Lynette, Salma, Cesar, and Victor Jr.
Visitation will be held today, Friday, September 26, 2014 from 11a.m. to 9p.m. with a Rosary to be conducted at 7p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.
A Mass of Resurrection will be held Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 2p.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church with committal service to follow at RoseLawn Memorial Gardens.
Serving as Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
