Maria E Hernandez

Maria Elena Hernandez, 68, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, TX. “Ella fue un fiel miembro de La Iglesia Camino Del Rey y ocupaba el puesto de Anciana. Ella murió en fe creyendo en su Señor.” Maria Elena was a native of Matamoros, Tamps, Mexico and life long Brownsville resident.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Juan Garza Barajas and Zoila Garza Miranda.

Mrs. Hernandez is survived by her husband, Jose A. Hernandez; children, Jose L. Hernandez, Tony Hernandez, Elena Zuniga, Olga Heegar and Carlos Hernandez; grandchildren, Valeria, Carlos, Karla Celeste and Aziel Hernandez, Julia and Moritz Heeger and Rihanna Zaza Zuniga; great-grandchildren, Sebastian and Shirlyn Hernandez. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Hector, Sergio and Yolanda Garza, Letticia Banda and Arcelia Vauhgn.

Visitation will be held from 11 am to 7pm with a prayer service from 6pm to 7pm Friday, March 23, 2012 at Iglesia Camino Del Rey 960 W. Ruben Torres Blvd. Brownsville, TX. 956-542-5393. Visitation will continue from 9am to 1pm with a funeral service at 1pm at Iglesia Camino Del Rey Saturday, March 24, 2012 with committal service to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.

Serving as pallbearers will be, Jose A. Hernandez, Jose L. Hernandez, Tony L. Hernandez and Esteban Zuniga.
