

María leaves behind seven children, thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was a member of Saint Luke’s Catholic Church and St. Eugenio Catholic Church. She taught catechism courses and was an active member of the Madre Teresa community at St. Eugenio Catholic Church. María will be remembered for her dedication to the Catholic faith and her giving spirit to those in need. She was a loving mother and wife who devoted all her life to the well-being and raising of her children.
Mrs. Hurtado is preceded in death by her son, Bernardo Hurtado; parents, Jesus and Amada Garza; and her siblings, Guadalupe Garza, Socorro Montaño, Maria Buenrostro, and Andres Garza.
María is survived by her loving husband, Faustino Hurtado; and her children, Jose de Jesus Hurtado, Maria del Socorro Benavides, Elsa Flores, Martha Lilia Tinnin, Sonia Nash, Jackeline Hurtado, and Eduardo Hurtado.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 18, 2014 from 11:00a.m. to 9:00p.m. with a Rosary to be conducted at 7:00p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.
Mass will be held Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at 1:00p.m. at St. Luke’s Catholic Church (2800 Rockwell), followed by committal service at Buena Vista Burial Park.
