

Trine fue una esposa devota, madre amorosa, abuelita tierna y amiga incondicional. A lo largo de su vida, tocó los corazones de todos con su dulzura, su fortaleza y su generoso espíritu. Le apasionaba el cuidado de sus plantas y encontraba alegría en la jardinería, donde cada flor y cada hoja reflejaban su amor por la vida. Su pasatiempo favorito era el bordado, una actividad que realizaba con paciencia y cariño, dejando como legado piezas llenas de historia y amor.
Amante de la cocina y era famosa entre su familia por sus tortillas de harina calientitas y los tamales más ricos. Siempre tenía tiempo para cumplir los antojos de sus hijos, y su mesa era un lugar de reunión donde nunca faltaban risas, cariño y comida hecha con el corazón.
Le sobreviven sus hijos: Francisco Luna, Nohemí Luna López, Santiago Luna, Amalia Luna, María Isabel Luna, Óscar Luna, Juan Luna, Rogelio Luna y Roberto Luna, sus 24 nietos y 14 bisnietos quienes la llevarán siempre en su corazón.
Fue precedida en muerte por su amado esposo, Francisco Luna Cortez†, y su nieto, Brian Luna†.
La recordaremos siempre por su sonrisa, su sazón, su calidez y el inmenso amor que entregó a quienes tuvieron la dicha de conocerla. Su memoria vivirá eternamente en nuestras flores, en nuestros bordados, en nuestras cocinas, y sobre todo, en nuestros corazones.
Los servicios para celebrar la vida de Trine se llevará a cabo con una Velación Miércoles, 16 de julio de 2025, de 2:00 p.m. a 11:00 p.m. con el rosario a las 7:00 PM, en 125 McDavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521. Un Servicio de capilla se llevará a cabo el Jueves, 17 de julio de 2025, de 10:00 a.m. a 11:00 a.m., en la capilla de Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista. Seguida de un Sepelio de 11:00 a.m. a 12:00 p.m., en Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 McDavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521.
María Trinidad "Trine" Luna, 82, a resident of Brownsville, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Trine was a devoted wife, loving mother, tender grandmother, and loyal friend. Throughout her life, she touched the hearts of many with her sweetness, strength, and generous spirit. She had a passion for caring for her plants and found joy in gardening—every flower and leaf reflecting her love for life. Her favorite pastime was embroidery, which she practiced with patience and care, leaving behind pieces full of history and affection.
She was a true lover of cooking and was famous among her family for her warm flour tortillas and the most delicious tamales. She always made time to fulfill her children’s cravings, and her table was a gathering place filled with laughter, warmth, and meals made with love.
She is survived by her children: Francisco Luna, Nohemí Luna López, Santiago Luna, Amalia Luna, María Isabel Luna, Óscar Luna, Juan Luna, Rogelio Luna, and Roberto Luna; her 24 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry her in their hearts forever.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Francisco Luna Cortez†, and her grandson, Brian Luna†.
We will always remember her for her smile, her flavor, her warmth, and the immense love she gave to everyone who was blessed to know her. Her memory will live on forever in our gardens, in our embroidery, in our kitchens—and above all, in our hearts.
Services to celebrate Trine’s life will be held as follows:
A visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with a rosary at 7:00 p.m., at 125 McDavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521.
A chapel service will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at the Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista chapel.
Interment will follow from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 McDavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521.
