

Maria Elena Olazaran was born on May 29, 1934 in Panuco, Veracruz,Mexico. She passed away on December 21, 2017 at the age of 83 at Valley Grande Manor in Brownsville, Texas. She was a retired resident of Brownsville since 1981. She was married for 52 years to her surviving and loving husband Horacio Olazaran. She loved spending time with her grand children and great- grand- children. She received an accounting degree, but never practiced. She often played loteria with family and friends. She had a life-long passion for crocheting and cross-stitch . Some of her projects included table cloths, doillies, table runners, blankets, slippers, vests and dresses. She was a volunteer at St Marys Catholic Church in West Chicago, Illinois. She read the Holy Scriptures and she loved to sing the Psalms. She enjoyed cooking, traveling and spending time with her beloved family and friends. She will be deeply missed by her loving and devoted family. She is now in the loving hands of our Lord Jesus Christ. She is preceded in death by Felipa Mayorga (sister),Paula Guerrero (mother), Antonio Rodriguez (father), and Antonio Mayorga (brother-in-law). Left to cherish her memory is her Spouse of 52 years- Horacio Olazaran Sr., Severo Chirinos (son), Gerardo Chirinos (son), Lorena Montero (daughter), Horacio(Sarah) Olazaran Jr. (son), Leticia Ramirez (daughter) , and Raul Ramirez (son-in-law), ; grandchildren- Gerardo Chirinos Munguia, Sarahi Chirinos Munguia, Crystal Lopez, Raul Ramirez Jr., Horacio E. Olazaran, Mirella A. Olazaran,Marcello A. Olazaran,and Mauricio A. Olazaran, and great-grandchildren; Melissa N. Ramirez, and April J. Lopez. Visitation Tuesday, December 26, 2017 from 10 am - 9 pm with a Rosary at 7pm at Funeraria Del Angel Rose Lawn. A Chapel Service will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Funeraria Del Angel Rose Lawn followed by a committal service to Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens. ose Lawn Funeral Home, Brownsville, TX.
