There are so many words to describe our mother/sister. But the main word is STRONG! She has shown her whole life how strong she can be. This past year has been her strongest year ever and she showed strength, courage and unconditional love the entire time. Our mother/sister was full of life, loved by many and always there for her family and friends. Her smile lit up a room and her laugh was contagious. Our lives are filled with so many great memories that will last us a lifetime. She will be greatly missed and loved. We'll love you forever our guardian angel.
Maria is survived by her son Joe Morua (Connie); daughter Jeniffer Lee Morua (Gerardo); and daughter Jessica Morua; brother Rosendo Rivera Jr. and sister Claudia Guerra (Saul); partner Carlo Hernandez Jr., grandchild Devin Perez, grandchild Joshua Perez, grandchild Joseph Morua, grandchild Kaylah Vasquez, grandchild Kaycie Vasquez, grandchild Alyssa Perez, grandchild Kassandra Morua, grandchild Jayden Perez, grandchild Joel Morua, grandchild Jason Morua, grandchild Taven Perkins and grandchild Saul Guerra Jr.
Maria was preceded in death by her mother Maria Pilar Rivera† and father Rosendo Rivera†; sister Cruz Rangel†.
A visitation for Maria will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM in Chapel of Peace at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. A chapel service will occur Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 10:00 AM in Chapel of Peace, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. Followed by a burial at 11:00 AM at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521.
Serving as pallbearers are Gerardo Perez, Saul Guerra, Joe Morua, Carlo Hernandez Jr., Joshua Perez and Rosendo Rivera Jr.
