

Maria D. Wolfe,73, beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, aunt, and friend entered into the glory of eternal life at Valley Regional Medical Center on Monday, December 26, 2016, surrounded by her loving family.
Maria was born in Matamoros, Tamaulipas on March 7, 1943. She had a deep passion for sewing since a very early age. She especially enjoyed sewing for her friends from church in which she was an active member of. Maria was an amazing cook who loved catering to her family, friends, and neighbors. Those who had the privilege of tasting her food couldn’t resist coming back for seconds or thirds. In addition to cooking and spending time with her family, Maria truly enjoyed being outdoors watering her numerous trees and plants or caring for her dog “Canela” and pet turtles “Pancho and Concha”.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the life of her sons: Eric M. Wolfe, Roosbel (Claudia) Wolfe; her grandson, Roosbel Darius Wolfe; sister, Guadalupe Duran de Hernandez; and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joe C. Wolfe; mother, Santos Resendez de Duran; father, Mariano Duran; eight brothers and sisters.
Honored to be serving as pallbearers are Eric Wolfe, Roosbel Wolfe, Darius Wolfe, David Hernandez, Jorge Ramirez and Antonio Ramirez.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.
Chapel service will take place on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 10:00 am at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista followed by a committal service at Buena Vista Burial Park.
