It is with deep sorrow and loving remembrance that we announce the passing of Marlon Glenn Hankin, a devoted husband, loving father, cherished godfather, beloved uncle, and loyal friend whose kindness and dedication touched the lives of many.
Marlon was a hardworking and respected employee of Valley Beverage, proudly representing Miller Lite for more than 20 years. His strong work ethic, friendly spirit, and commitment to those around him earned him the respect and admiration of coworkers and friends alike.
Above all, Marlon was a devoted family man. He shared 32 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Estela Hankin, building a life filled with love, laughter, and countless treasured memories. His unwavering love and dedication to his family were evident in everything he did.
Marlon found joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved spending time fishing, feeding seagulls at his home, searching for hidden treasures at the flea market, and attending the livestock show. He also had a special place in his heart for his four beloved dogs Mensito, Pickles, Baby Bear, and Penny whom he cared for with endless love and devotion.
Those who knew Marlon will remember his generous heart, warm smile, sense of humor, and the genuine kindness he showed to everyone he met. His legacy of compassion, hard work, and love for family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
Marlon is survived by his beloved wife of 32 wonderful years, Estela Hankin; his children, Joshua J. Hankin, Megan M. Hankin, his children from previous marriage Eric Hankin, Amanda Hankin, Brenda Hankin, and Marlon Hankin Jr.; his mother-in-law, Ofelia C. Montiel (Grandma Bear); his brothers, Terry Hankin (Sylvia) and Lee Roy Hankin (Michelle); his brothers-in-law, Juan Montiel III (Norma) and Javier Montiel; his sister-in-law, Lisa Montiel; his Godmother, Norma Rivera; his Goddaughters, Leticia Montiel and Alyssa Longoria; his Godsons, Damian Crouch, Sam Longoria, and Gabriel Montiel; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Juan Montiel Jr.; his father, Jose Ernesto Hankin; and his mother, Raquel Hankin.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude and special recognition to Dr. Gumbel and his staff, the H-E-B Pharmacy Boca Chica team, and the dedicated caregivers at Valley Baptist Hospital. They are especially grateful to Dr. Karkoutly and nurses Victoria, Maribel, Hya, Christina, and Alex, whose exceptional care, compassion, and unwavering support brought comfort to Marlon and his loved ones during a difficult time.
A sincere appreciation to Lorenza Martinez of Encino Home Health for the loving care, compassion, and dedication she provided to him throughout the years. Your kindness and support will always be remembered with gratitude.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, 125 McDavitt Blvd., Brownsville, Texas, on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until midnight.
A Rosary, led by the St. Luke's Catholic Daughters—Sylvia Price, Cristina Valdez, Nena Gomez, Christina Bridgewater, and Tina Pizana—will be recited at 7:00 p.m.
A eulogy celebrating and honoring the life of their loved one will follow at 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will continue on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista. Doors will open at 10:00 a.m. for family and friends. A Chapel Mass from St. Luke's Catholic Church, officiated by Deacon Javier Garcia, will begin at 12:00 noon. Services will conclude at 2:00 p.m.
