Era describida como una mujer trabajadora, honesta, fiel, generosa y amorosa. Durante 51 años, fue una esposa devota para su esposo Florentino Lopez, siendo también una madre y abuela dedicada. A Martha le apasionaba cocinar y siempre trabajaba arduamente para proveer a su familia. El cuidado de las personas y la ayuda al prójimo siempre ocuparon un lugar especial en su corazón, hasta el punto de compartir su último pedazo de pan con el hambriento. Aunque de baja estatura, llevaba un fuerte carácter, poseyendo al mismo tiempo un gran corazón. Era estricta y amorosa a la vez.
Le sobreviven su esposo Florentino Lopez, su hijo Alberto Lopez, y su nieto Ezequiel Lopez. Fue precedida en muerte por su padre Eliseo Guevara, su madre Guadalupe Mendiola, y su hija Cristina Lopez.
En memoria de Marta, se realizarán servicios en la Funeraria Del Angel Rose Lawn. La visita tendrá lugar el 23 de noviembre de 2025 desde las 12:00 pm hasta las 10:00 pm. Un servicio de oración se celebrará el mismo día de 7:00 pm a 8:00 pm. El servicio de despedida se llevará a cabo en Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens el 24 de noviembre de 2025, de 10:00 am a 11:00 am.

Martha Mendiola Lopez passed away on November 13, 2025, at the age of 69. She was born on September 26, 1956, in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico. She lived in Brownsville, Texas.
She was described as a hardworking, honest, faithful, generous, and loving woman. For 51 years, she was a devoted wife to her husband Florentino Lopez, and also a dedicated mother and grandmother. Martha was passionate about cooking and always worked hard to provide for her family. Caring for people and helping others always held a special place in her heart, to the point of sharing her last piece of bread with the hungry. Although of short stature, she carried a strong character while possessing a big heart. She was both strict and loving.
She is survived by her husband Florentino Lopez, her son Alberto Lopez, and her grandson Ezequiel Lopez. She was preceded in death by her father Eliseo Guevara, her mother Guadalupe Mendiola, and her daughter Cristina Lopez.
In memory of Martha, services will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Rose Lawn. The visitation will take place on November 23, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm. A prayer service will be held on the same day from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The farewell service will be held at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens on November 24, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
