So now I speak of the latest and most fondest memory that I have. This past few months and weeks have been very hard for him because he was not feeling well and he was getting weaker and weaker and sometimes he'd forget things and people, He kept tellinh us about how he was ready to go home. So when we'd visit him ,we do the best that we could to cheer him up and we talked to him and I we knew that sometimes he didn't remember us but I would still make an effort to talk to him and hold his hand and he would squeeze it really hard because I would tell him,let's see how strong you are , and he would squeeze my hands so tight and I would pretend like it hurt so bad and he would laugh and smile because he knew he was still very strong . So there were times when he didn't know a person that was right in front of him and on the very last day that I saw him, I asked him, Tio quien soy yo?  And he looked straight at me and said, pues Maria , I remember jumping up and down, that brought so much joy to me and tears to my eyes because I knew that he knew my voice, he probably knew my big hair and I will always always have him in my heart forever, I love you Tio, may you be resting in peace with those people that you loved and missed so much, wait for us ,we will soon see you again , love you

Continued ,, so now the memory of his birthday parties at his house .He was such an amazing cook.He would think up of all his favorite meals. He would make menudo and carne asada puerco en salsa so many other foods that I can't even remember but there was always cornbread there. The memories of us  sitting around the tables outside in his little carport and eating and eating till we could eat no more.Oh and that brings to mind a joke that he once told us because chelo and I were trying to lose weight ,course we never did. :), and he was sitting there at the table looking down like he always did when he was thinking about something to say..tThen he's says," I know how you can lose weight. " We looked at each other,  like, tell us Tio, your a wise man.....And  he said in a very serious voice, LEVANTENSE TEMPRANO,.  we're like what, why, what do we do? And he repeated, LEVANTENSE TEMPRANO DE LA MESA,.   OH MY GOD, CHELO AND I BURST OUT LAUGHING AND SO DID HE, Truly was a wise man and very funny.  Never worked for us tho. We truly are missing him so much. 

How do you narrow down so many memories of an amazing uncle to just one important one? "You can't " We  have so many wonderful memories of Mi Tio monse. If we need to look into one that really stands out I would have to say, " I can't , there are more than one and I think I'll just name them so that some of you can also remember those moments because many of you were there's also. The one that I do remember is when he was going to turn 90. For some reason he told us that was going to be his last birthday, So,he made it a point to express how much he wanted a huge party and that he wanted it at Mi Tia Chacha's house , so we all came together and we made him a huge huge party. It was one party that I know many will never forget .We all dressed Western and he looks so handsome that day.  He was so so happy. He had Mariachis and it was just the party that I think he always dreamed of having.  Thanks to everybody and especially all who helped putting in a little bit of their part. I have pictures that I treasure so much. That day, you could just see the glow in his face. The other memories that I hold dear to my heart are the times when he used to come over to Mom's and they would say that the table. They could sit for hours. He'd come early in the morning and we'd have sweet bread together and then he would be here for lunch so we'd cook up something and he'd have lunch with Mom he loved all that home cooking that used to happen here in our kitchen.  He'd talk with his slow and low voice. usually with his arms crossed looking down and he'd just smirk and laugh when he would remember funny things.We enjoyed listening to all those stories. Another memory that I have are all the birthdays that he hosted at his own house . See next memory :)

May Tio rest in peace as he felt he needed to go with the Lord and was ready ,for he'd say he'd  done his job here on earth and was ready, very strong ,hard working ,,loving,caring,sweet, funny,great cook!,loved to invite us to his birthday celebration and cooked some of his favorite meals and cornbread that I'll never forget...and such a Handsome man...tio...
Tio forever you will be in my heart and I know your in Gods care now with all your loved ones and especially with  your beautiful wife Lupe and ,Janie, lucy and all siblings he talked about I love you Tio Monce, will miss u always....thank u for being such a wonderful tio...❤



My the  Lord give you peace, comfort, and assurance that all things, even this, will work for good and fill u with glory and grace. My his presence heal u in this heart ache...amen!
