Norma Ortiz de Ayala, age 59, passed away on October 15, 2026. Born on June 6, 1967, Norma will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection by all who had the privilege to know her. A beloved and cherished presence in the lives of many, she carried herself with a steady grace—meeting life with courage, offering kindness freely, and extending compassion in ways both quiet and unmistakable. Her faith remained a guiding light, and her thoughtful spirit left a lasting imprint on family, friends, and community alike.
Norma’s devotion was evident in the care she brought to everyday life. She found meaning and connection through church activities, where her faithful heart and encouraging nature shone. She also took joy in gardening, tending what she planted with patience and attention—an expression of the same gentle, nurturing spirit that defined her relationships. Even in serious moments, Norma’s warm sense of humor could bring comfort, reminding others to breathe, to hope, and to keep going. In these ways, she was an inspiration—brave in adversity, generous in love, and steadfast in the values she lived each day.
Norma is survived by her husband, Jose Martin Ayala; her son, Jose Martin Ayala Jr.; her mother, Soledad Ortiz; her brother, Julio Ortiz; and her sisters, San Juana Cervantes, Analy Mercado, and Maria Luisa Villarreal.
