April 18, 1935 – July 30, 2025
Odilon Reyes Sanchez, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2025, in Riverview, Florida, at the age of 90.
Born on April 18, 1935, in Tamaulipas, Mexico, Odilon lived a life full of dedication, hard work, and love. A true jack of all trades, he was a farmer, a fisherman, and a plumber—always ready to lend a hand and fix whatever needed fixing. His love for the land and animals was evident in the many hours he spent on the farm, surrounded by nature, where he felt most at peace.
Odilon was happiest in the simple moments: fishing, enjoying a cold Coca-Cola, or picking up his grandchildren from school—always with a smile and a story to share. He was deeply loved by his family and will be remembered for his strong work ethic, kind heart, and unwavering devotion to those he cared about.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Teodora Sanchez. He is survived by his daughters, Marisol Pineda and Elizabeth Hernandez; sons, Julian Reyes and Samuel Reyes; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a large extended family who will continue to carry his legacy forward.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 3rd, at Serenity Meadows Memorial Park, Funeral Home and Crematory, located at 6919 Providence Rd, Riverview, FL 33578.
A visitation for Odilon will be held Saturday, August 9, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521. A chapel service will be held that same day at 2:00 PM, with burial to follow at BuenaVista Burial Park
