Oralia Ybarra will be remembered for her warm heart, joyful spirit, and the love she shared with family and friends. She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures — tending to her garden, cooking meals for loved ones, working on word searches and puzzles, and spending time playing lotería.
She especially loved attending the Charro Days parades and enjoyed music and dancing whenever she had the chance. Oralia’s kindness, laughter, and cherished traditions created countless memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
Oralia is survived by her sons, Ceferino Ibarra Jr (Martha), Peter Ybarra (Pedro), and by her daughters, Linda Cortez (Martin), Norma Lou Garza, Rosa Imelda Benavidez, and Martha Ana Garza. Numerous loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive her.
Oralia was preceded in death by her husband Ceferino Ybarra † her sons, Ruben Garza Jr †, and Jorge Garza †, her daughter Maria Lourdes Ochoa †, her brothers, Azarel Garcia †, Moises Garcia †, and Matilde Garcia Jr. †, and her sisters, Olga Salazar †, Orcelia Medrano †, Lucila Beltran †, and Juanita Ramirez †.
Pallbearers will be Ceferino Ibarra III, Joey Cortez, Arty Cortez, Johnathan Lopez, Ramon Lucio Jr, and Cruz Garcia.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, 125 McDavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521, US, on May 17, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 10:00 pm with a rosary at 7pm.
Funeral Mass on May 18, 2026 at 12:00pm at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2645 Tulipan St, Brownsville Texas 78521 followed with a burial at 1:00 pm, at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 McDavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521.
