Rafael is survived by Rafaela Reyna, wife; Rafael Sanchez III, son; Roger Sanchez, son; Eric Espinoza, son; Jovan Espinoza, son; Crystal Castro, daughter; Yaritza Sanchez Garcia, daughter; Jorge Sanchez, brother; Sylvia Gonzalez, sister; Gerardo Sanchez, brother; Dora Cain, sister; Juan Carlos Sanchez, brother; Norma Sanchez, sister; Gustavo Sanchez, brother; Edgar Sanchez, brother; and 19 Grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Rafael was preceded in death by Rafael Sanchez Sr., father; Ninfa Sanchez †, mother; Blanca Sanchez †, wife; and Aylin Ellena †, great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 McDavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521, on March 20, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Military Honors will be held at 4:00 pm. Following a Prayer Service at 5:00 pm.
