Raquel Gutierrez

Rachel spent the majority of her working life in the field of accounts receivable, furniture stores, and loan offices. Rachel loved her family so much, and in her own words she described it as follows: “I love my daughters with my whole heart, however my grandchildren are my entire world” There isn’t anything Rachel would not do for her daughters or grandchildren. If she could she would move mountains for them.

Rachel loved going to the maquinitas with her sisters in law Gloria, Del, Gracie, and Rose+. Her favorite times were the bingo/bbq nights at Bubbas or Tammy & Jaime’s house. One of her most recent pastimes was Loteria on Wednesday nights at the Broken Sproket with Tammy and Alma.

Rachel was an avid church goer. She was a 30+ year member of Christ the King Catholic Church. She served as a Eucharistic minister.

She will be missed immensely, and will live forever in the hearts of those who loved her dear.

Rachel is survived by her sister Ester Campos (Lazaro+), daughters Anna Delia Perez and Alma Dalia Gutierrez (Eduardo). 6 grandchildren: Sabrina Christine Perez (Joe), Tamara Lynn Fernandez (Jaime), Kimberly Ann Peña , Bernardo Perez IV (Dominique), Arnoldo Peña III, & Leslie Vonn Peña (Arnold). 15 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.

Rachel is also survived by her sisters in law Delia Longoria, Gloria Cervantes, Maria Ninfa Peterson, & Graciela Poitinger, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, & friends.

Rachel is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Luis Carlos Gutierrez, her parents Felipe and Olivia Perez, her sister Oralia Mendoza, and her brothers Felipe and Francisco Perez.
