Rita was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth and generosity touched countless lives. She had a radiant smile and an unwavering willingness to help anyone in need. Wherever she went, she brought happiness, creating a home filled with love, laughter, and music. She especially enjoyed listening to classic rock from the 1970s and country music, and she took great pride in tending to her beautiful garden, which reflected her vibrant spirit and love of life.
She found joy in life's simple pleasures—a good romance novel, evenings spent watching crime shows with her close friends, and indulging in her favorite sweets. Above all else, Rita treasured the time she shared with her family. Some of her happiest moments were family dinners filled with stories, laughter, and unconditional love.
In honor of Rita's bright spirit and her favorite color, the family kindly invites those attending her Celebration of Life to wear a touch of blue.
Rita is lovingly survived by her daughters, Sonya Yvonne Cuellar and Breanna Cuellar-Flores (Jonathan); her grandson, Xavier James Cuellar; her granddaughter, Sophia Marie Cuellar; her sisters, Arlene Springer and Donna Wendel; and her brother, Kenneth Allen Wendel (Katy).
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Javier Cuellar; her father, Archie Willard Wendel; and her mother, Beatrice Marie Lautzenheiser.
Though she will be deeply missed, Rita's love, compassion, and joyful spirit will continue to live on through the many lives she touched and the cherished memories she leaves behind. May she rest in eternal peace.
