Rodolfo Muniz

Rodolfo worked for 20 years for Department of Transportation. He enjoyed handy-work and was always willing to help. He loved and bragged about being retired. "Rofas" as many called him enjoyed being outside. His loyalty, honesty and dedication to his friends and family was a continuous presence. A simple hardworking man, at best. A wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. Definitely a unique and one of a kind.

Rodolfo is survived by his wife, Lydia Muñiz (Ibarra); son Arnoldo Muñiz (Nora); son Ricardo Muñiz (Norma); son Fransico Muñiz (Cecilia); daughter Benita Eckersly (Herbie); and daughter Anna McGuire (Shawn).

Rodolfo was preceded in death by son Rodolfo Muñiz Jr † and son Rolando Muñiz †; father Pablo Muñiz † and mother Enriqueta Haggstrom †; brother Pablo H. Muñiz II † and sister Olivia Atkinson †.

He is also survived by many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Rodolfo will be held Friday, May 14, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 7pm at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, 125 McDavitt Blvd., Brownsville, Tx. Chapel Service will be Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 11am followed by a burial at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521.

Serving as pallbearers are Francisco Muñiz, Rolando Muñiz, Jr, Arnoldo Muñiz, Jr, Ricardo Muñiz, Jr, Herbie Eckersley, Jr and Benjamin Eckersley.
