As a young boy, his family moved to Valle Hermoso, Mexico where he later met the love of his life, Carmen Rivera. They married in 1949 and were blessed with five children. They eventually moved to Brownsville, Texas where his main goal in life was to love and provide for his family. He taught his children the value of an education and hard work. To this day his children’s work ethic abounds.
Mr. Navarro was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who was driven by a strong Christian faith.
Mr. Navarro was preceded in death by his parents, Gregorio and Esther Navarro and infant son Armando Navarro.
Left behind to treasure the memory of Mr. Navarro are his wife of 64 years, Carmen; sons, Felix Navarro (Ruth); Rodolfo Navarro Jr. (Ester); daughters Maria Esther Garcia (Rogerio); Irma Hairston; grandchildren Roel Navarro; Rogerio Garcia Jr.; Adriana Miller; Nicholas R. Navarro; Nathanial R. Navarro; Nolan R. Navarro; Nadine R. Navarro; Adrian Navarro; Alejandro Navarro; Anisa Navarro; Belinda Perez, and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Monday, Sept. 2, 2013, from 11 am until 9pm with religious services at 7pm in the Chapel at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista. A funeral service will be held today Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013 at 10am at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista followed with graveside services at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
