Ronald Hoge Humphreys

Ronald Hoge Humphreys, a devoted husband and loving father, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025, at the age of 76. Born in Morgan City, Louisiana, he was the son of Henry W. Humphreys and Dorothy Hobein Humphreys.

He is survived by his wife Linda Diane Meier Humphreys of 57 years; his children, Ronald Hoge Humphreys Jr., Ashley Christine Humphreys Karpinski and her husband Keith Karpinski; his grandchildren, Sean Matthew Humphreys, Cole Alexander Karpinski, Genevieve Melynne Humphreys, Reagan Ashlyn Karpinsk; his siblings Hank Humphreys, Fredricka Vaughan, Brian Humphreys. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Dorothy Humphreys; his siblings Catherine Hickford and Lynn Humphreys; his sons Frederick Hobein Humphreys, Matthew Thomas Humphreys, and David Granville Humphreys.

Ronald, aka ''Ronnie, Hump, Dead Eye, Ron'' was a kind and funny man with unwavering support of his friends and family. He was a strong businessman who modeled hard work and dedication. He worked most of his life in manufacturing which allowed his family to live in many places including Central America, creating beautiful memories and traditions. He was a man of the people and knew no strangers.

Beyond his professional life, Ron was a dedicated friend who was passionate about his hobbies which including fishing, golfing, hunting and laughing with family and friends. His quick wit and sense of humor were contagious, and he was always available for a beer and conversation when you needed him. He was well known for his Christmas letters and ability to tell elaborate stories. He taught his children and grandchildren the power of marriage, family work, work ethic, upholding your values and family traditions.

Friends and family are welcome to drop by and celebrate with the family at these times.

A ceremony will be held at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens located at 4464 old Port Isabel Rd., Brownsville, Texas 78526 on November 22, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Mausoleum Del Angel.

The family will also be hosting a Celebration of Life ''Toast to Ron Humphreys'' at Rancho Viejo Country Club Patio located at 1 Rancho Viejo Dr., Rancho Viejo, Texas 78575 on November 22, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Ron will be lifted in prayer during the 7:30 am Mass special intentions at St. Mary's Church located at 1914 Bernard Rd., Brownville, Texas 78520 on Sunday, November 23, 2025.
