Rosa Castro, age 84, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2026. Born on February 14, 1942, Rosa will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A devoted mother and a steady presence in the lives of those around her, Rosa lived her life with quiet dignity, steadfast devotion to family, and a gracious spirit. She was a source of strength, comfort, and faithful care, leaving behind a legacy of love that will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
Rosa resided in Brownsville, Texas, where she built a life centered on family and the simple joys that brought her happiness. She enjoyed sewing, listening to the music of Vicente Fernández, and playing lotería. These cherished pastimes reflected her warm spirit and appreciation for the moments shared with loved ones.
Rosa is survived by her beloved daughters, Norma Irene Doria, Diana Castro, Margarita Sosa Perez, and Alicia C. Villarreal; and her sons, Francisco Castro Jr. and Felipe Guerrero Jr. She was preceded in death by her sons, Bernadino Castro and Antonio Castro.
Rosa’s memory will remain a blessing to her family and all who knew and loved her. Her kindness, strength, devotion, and love for her family will not be forgotten.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Roselawn, 4464 Old Port Isabel Rd, Brownsville, TX 78526, US, on September 9, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, with a Rosary at 7:00 pm.
A Chapel Service will take place at on September 10, 2026, at 12:00 pm, followed by Burial at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens at 1:00 pm.
