It is with great love and gratitude that we remember Rosa Garcia, a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, who passed away surrounded by her family. Rosa lived a life filled with faith, kindness, and joy, leaving behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Rosa found happiness in the simple pleasures of life—cooking, gardening, and tending to her beloved plants and flowers. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the comforting aroma of her homemade meals. She loved singing along to her favorite songs, watching her novelas and TV shows, and spending peaceful moments on her front porch, greeting neighbors and enjoying the beauty of her surroundings.
A woman of deep faith and devotion to God, Rosa’s life was guided by her spiritual strength. She loved attending church and community events, always finding ways to support and uplift others. Her kind heart and generosity touched many lives, as she was always willing to lend a helping hand or share a word of encouragement.
Rosa’s greatest joy was her family. She devoted her life to raising and nurturing her children, supporting them in their education, careers, and dreams. She cherished every family gathering, holiday, and birthday celebration, always adding her special touch to make those moments unforgettable. Her wisdom and life lessons will continue to guide her children and grandchildren for generations to come.
She also had a deep love for her **pets—especially her birds and cats—**who brought her comfort and companionship. Whether walking through the neighborhood or tending to her garden, Rosa found beauty in everyday life and shared it freely with those around her.
Rosa Garcia will be remembered for her unwavering faith, generous spirit, and endless love for her family and community. Her light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
She is survived by her daughters, Irma Salinas, Helen Ruiz, Eliza Sanchez (Johnny), and JoAnna Bentacourt. Her grandchildren include Enrique Garza, Marco Antonio Salinas (Sonia), Brandon Rea, Rene R. Ruiz Jr. (Toni), BriAnna Betancourt, John P. Sanchez (Pharm.D.), Ashley N. Sanchez (M.D.), Jonathan J. Sanchez (Maddie Miller), and Joshua K. Sanchez.
Mrs. Garcia is also survived by her brother, Ramon Muñoz (Rosalinda De La Garza). She leaves behind 11 great-grandchildren, 43 nephews, 39 nieces, and a total of 82 cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Rogerio Muñoz, her mother, Concepcion Garcia, her ex-husband, Ramon Salinas, her son, Ramon Salinas Jr., her brothers, Norberto Torres (Guillermina Rueda), Librado Venegas (Socorro Villarreal), Rogero Muñz (Juanita Martinez), Ramiro Muñoz, and her sisters, Candelaria Torres, Maria Eva Venegas (Erasmo Fernandez), Carmen Venegas (Sixto Villanueva), Josephine Muñoz (Valentin Nayola Sr.), Leonor Muñoz (Obaester Tapia Sr.), Palmira Muñoz, and Perla Muñoz.
The visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, located at 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX, on November 16, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm in the Chapel of Peace at the same location.
A funeral mass will take place at Holy Family Church, 2405 E Tyler St, Brownsville, TX, on November 17, 2025, at 10:00 am. Following the mass, Rosa will be laid to rest at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX, at 11:00 am.
