I met Rosie over 30 years ago.  She was always a godly woman whose life and behavior was marked by holiness, reflecting the character of the Lord she loved and lived for.  In my last conversation with her, she was exuberant over the fact she would soon be blessed with a grandchild.  It was an honor to call her friend.  She will be greatly missed, and always fondly remembered.

Hello friends and family.  My name is Angie Cantu.  I am Rosie's niece.  My husband,  Frank and I, along with some friends last visited Rosie in 2017.  She was always such a joy to talk to and visit.  Always loving,  always found things to laugh about, including my dad, her brother. Due to the pandemic,  I didn't get to visit her in her "tiny" house she told me about.  But send me pictures of.  She was so happy to be with Debbie and Victor, and even the puppy🥰
I'm gonna miss texting her every day.  I know one day, I will once again hug her and laugh with her.  In the meantime,  she lives in my heart and in my memories.

This is so hard for me!😭😭😭Hi! My name is Mary Vasquez and will like to share who Rosie was for me. Rosie Compean was a woman of FAITH! She Join my small group in 2005 Rosie had incredible strength. She was able to withstand a crisis and forge forward on her path with relentless endurance. She was able to face barriers and burdens in her life with tenacity and grace. She was anchored in her faith. When she would come to my small group we will worship and praise the King of Kings she will be the first one to fall on her knees. She was a warrior and a fighter. Rosie always had a smile. Her passionate heart illuminated compassion to anyone who crossed her path. She never discriminated nor separate the “ones who deserve love” and the “ones who did not”. She knew all people deserve the unconditional love that God freely offers to us all. Rosie always walked in humility. Rosie served without reward, and sacrificed without needing acknowledgment from others. Rosie always accepted her flaws and weaknesses. She gave generously with no expectations. Every time I will ask her to serve she will never say no! She will go to the Drischoll in Christmas!  She will serve also in Christmas in July.  She will go to the hospitals to pray! She would help me distribute Food to the needy. Rosie extended herself to me and others, always answering the call to “Go and do”. That itself is enough. Today I weep and mourn her departure! She was always ready to leave and depart when her name was called by God! She will always tell me I’m not afraid to die! I’m ready ! Today I can tell you she was ready all along but I was not ready to say goodbye! I will always Love you Rosie Compean!❤️❤️❤️🙏🏻😘

I will miss you but will always have your memories with me in my heart. We were very close friends, Rosie to me was a very special loyal spiritual good friend. We met at a small group from ICC she had a good presence I knew she was a good person and I could relate to her and our friendship grew and we would hang out and our daughter’s Debra and Janelle sometimes would hang out with us too. She was always faithful to God and took care of us and always kept her daughter in prayer for blessings and would remind me always let’s make sure we are ready for the Lord. We had a fun and a good long friendship. I could also say she was sweet and funny. We would always pray for one another. Two weeks before she went to be with the Lord I asked her for prayer with a need she said everything will be ok and that she had my back on prayer. And send me a song” I am not alone” I will always remember you and love you until we see each other 

I’ve shared this before but will share here as many knew Rosie as a soft spoken and shy lady... but Rosie was one of the funniest, most noble, selfless people I’ve met. I will hold on to every memory. Thank you for being the best bonus grandma we could ever ask for. Love you Rosie!

Rosie...the one who loved my Guelito unconditionally, who would pick us up from school and drive us to the beach to feed the birds, the one who would do u-turns every time my brother and I would ask her cause we thought it was the coolest and funniest thing, the one who introduced me to sopa floja, the one who drove me to Dallas cause Debbie and I wanted to ice skate, the one who never missed a birthday call, the one who dedicated her life to serving others alongside my grandfather for the ministry. You were His rock when we couldn't be and you gave him so much joy...you are now reunited and now he gets to carry you in. Rosie thank you for the many years you dedicated to my family, for loving on my siblings and I. I will hold on to your memories dearly.

I remember it was one of my first time meeting Rosie. We had gone to go eat with my husbands mom side of the family at Camperos. She was so loving and so funny. She just had this presence that was so enjoyable. I remember while we were having dinner, the waiter kept coming to our table to grab any dirty napkins and replace them with new ones as well as they kept refilling our drinks without us even asking. Of course they were trying to provide excellent customer service, but I will never forget every time Rosie tried to grab her drink it was moved due the waiters refilling it and placing the beverage in a different spot. So I remember Rosie telling Abner that she was going to smack their hands next time they tried to grab her napkin or drink. I thought that was the funniest and cutest thing because I pictured it in my mind. We had a great evening full of laughter and joy. I was blessed to have had the privileged of meeting Rosie and hearing stories of how lovable she was to my husbands family and to your husband. She was a women that loved God and her family and I look up to her because of that. She modeled how to have servants heart. We will miss you dearly Rosie!

A special memory that I have of Rosie was that she always prayed for us when we were sick or going through a difficult time. She prayed for us when  we were kids and even as adults. She always prayed for God to help us . She was a woman of faith and loved God.
     In March of this year, I was going through a difficult time and I called her for advice but also knowing that she would help me by praying for me. She said 'not to worry, not to feel alone,  God was always by my side and to trust in him to guide me through this difficult time'.
     Later that day, she texted me the link of this hymn that she wanted me to listen to
(((No te voy a dejar by Leonel Tuchez ))).  It was one of her favorites and quickly became one of mine. 
      After listening to it I knew I was going to be fine and surpass this difficult time... 
For this and all she did for us, she will forever be treasured in my heart  until we meet again.  For now, I know Rosie is in heaven looking over all of us...
