Roy D. Roth, 71, born into this world a fool in 1942, (April 1). He was born to Charlotte Vogel Roth in Chicago, IL. Since the Chicago Bears did not win the 2012 Super Bowl and Hostess shuttered its snack cakes he decided to leave us on Saturday, July 6, 2013. Apparently he did not keep up on the news that Hostess was making a comeback. He was the proud husband for over 30 years to his loving wife Consuelo “Chelo” Roth.
Roy was the best father in the world (apology to those who thought they had the title) to his daughters and son. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Denise Roth, the two reptiles Karen “Snake” Roth, Christine “Lizard” (Carmelo) Roth, Kimberly Lynn Roth and happily raised his son, Carlos (Irene). He was the grandfather of a bunch of pesty grandkids - Nicholas (Yanitta) Roth, Isiah, Christopher and his princess Carlene Barrera and soon to be great-grandfather of Roth twins (Nicholas). He was the baby brother of Jack (the late Ruthie/Kathy), Rudy (Marcia), Marie (Don), and the late Carl (Ceil) and the late Dottie (Dave) and big bro to Walter (Marie). He was the uncle and friend to many.
His laughter and smile will be missed-honor him by taking a stroll at the zoo, watching one of his favorite movies Animal House or The Blues Brothers, go to the beach, take a road trip and read every historical marker along the way – or just take a nap. The things he enjoyed the most were free – laughs, hugs, Judge Judy, and an occasional cookie didn’t hurt.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2013, from 1 p.m., and continue until 9 p.m., all services will conclude on Wednesday evening.
