Simon is preceded in death by his loving wife Guillermina Gomez, their three sons; Benito Gomez, Juan Simon Gomez and Rafael Gomez, his parents Cirildo Gomez and Esther Cisneros de Gomez, his maternal great aunt Eloisa Sustaita, his siblings Daniel Gomez, Juanita Valdez and Maria Rodriguez.
He is survived by his children Fela (Antonio) Ibara, Jorge Luis Gomez, Roberto (Nidia) Gomez, Guillermo Gomez, Esther (Simon) Gamboa, Guillermina (Barbara) Heffner, Rodolfo (Lorena) Gomez. Twenty six grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren.
Simon immigrated to this country at a very young age from Monterrey Mexico. He married the love of his life, our mother, Guillermina or as she was foundly known, Guillerma. Simon was a family man, and everything he did was to honor our mother and provide for his family.
He was owner and operator of his painting company which he ran for over 45 years. He instilled in all his children a great work ethic. He always told us when you leave a job site you leave it better than you found it. Our dad had a great sense of humor. He was a man of strong faith and he will be greatly missed by his children, grandchildren and all that knew him.
Our immense gratitude to Dr. Nisar Hussain for the incredible care he gave our father.
