Tomasita was a wife, a daughter, a sister, a mother, a dear aunt, an educator, and a woman of God.
She was strong, diesty, and very loving. She touched the hearts of many people was always happy to be helpful.
She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom and faithful instruction is on her tongue. Proverbs 31:25-26
Tomasita is survived by her husband, Oscar De Leon; her son Oscar De Leon Jr.; and her daughter Maribel De Leon; her brother Roberto Gomez, her brother Reynaldo Gomez and her brother Juan Gomez; her grandchild Jada Jones, her grandchild Onica De leon, her grandchild Oscar De Leon III, her grandchild Osea De Leon and her grandchild Lori Isabella Sanchez.
She is also survived by various nieces, nephews and cousins.
Tomasita was preceded in death by her father Antonio Gomez † and her mother Eulalia M. Gomez †; her brother Israel (Chano) Garza †.
A visitation for Tomasita will be held Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM a with a rosary at 7:00 pm in Chapel of Peace at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. A chapel service will be held Friday, January 26, 2024 at 10:00 AM in Chapel of Peace at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. Followed by a burial at 11:00 AM at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521.
Serving as pallbearers are Oscar De Leon Jr., Aroldo Torres (Lolo), Eduardo Torres, Antonio Ruiz, Roy, A.J. and Miguel De Leon.
Honorary pallbearer will be Oscar De Leon Sr.
