Toni was born on July 20, 1938 to parents Pedro and Eloisa Garza in Monterrey, NL. She immigrated to the United States in the 1960's with her husband Hugo and they raised their family of four daughters in Brownsville, TX. She later moved to McAllen, TX in the early 2000's where she lived the remainder of her life. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to so many people. She will be deeply missed but will forever live in our hearts, with memories full of laughter and love.
Toni was preceded in death by her parents Pedro & Eloisa Garza of Monterrey, brother Pedro Garza & sister Silvia Garza of Monterrey, beloved husband Hugo C. Hinojosa of Brownsville, and loving daughter Ivon Hinojosa McFaden of Houston.
Toni is survived by her siblings and their spouses Eloisa Garza Rodriguez, Jose Mauricio & Blanca Garza, Carlos & Evelyn Garza, all of Monterrey, and brother Deacon Francisco J. Garza of Brownsville. Furthermore, she is survived by her children Ivet & Juan Angel Hinojosa, April Hinojosa, and Iris Hinojosa, all of McAllen, and grandchildren and their significant others Chase Putnam & Natalie Graham of Australia, Elissa McFaden of Austin, Justin & Austin Hinojosa of Dallas, Tanner Putnam & Aly Guillen of Edinburg, Miranda Butler Hinojosa of McAllen, and great-grandson Blake Graham Putnam of Australia. Additionally, she is survived by loving family friends Connie Almazan of McAllen, Stephen McLaughlin of Harlingen, Melinda Hernandez of Brownsville, Gustavo Hernandez of Lubbock, and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved so dearly.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am to 2:30 pm on Thursday, April 08, 2021 with a chapel service at 2:30 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista to be immediately followed by an inurnment service at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
