In Loving Memory of Antonio “Tony” Weaver- Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather
Antonio “Tony” Weaver, aged 91, of Brownsville, Texas, was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 21, 2025. His journey on this earth has come to a close, but his spirit and the love he shared will forever remain in our hearts.
Born on July 23, 1933, to the late Roberto and Refugia Weaver in Los Indios, Texas, Tony was a beacon of strength and love for his family. He was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Olga M. Weaver, and his siblings Eloisa Cardenas, William Weaver, Eddie Weaver, Lily Weaver Vasques, Ester Weaver Del Toro, and Minnie Escobedo.
In 1958, Tony married the love of his life, Olga Martinez Weaver, and together they created a beautiful life in Brownsville, filled with laughter, love, and countless cherished memories. He leaves behind four devoted children: Sylvia Carrizales (Hector), Graciela Rodriguez (Mario), Antonio Weaver, Jr. (Mary Lou), and Norma Weaver-DeOrnellas (Samuel). His legacy continues through his eight grandchildren: Elise, Ryan, Daniella, Mario, Kristina, Tony III, Olivia, and Emma, as well as his two great-grandchildren, Sofia and Gaby. He is also lovingly remembered by his sisters Mary Galvan, Julia Castro, and Amelia Huerta, along with his half-brothers Robert Jr, Ismael, Jerry, Ernesto, Victor, and Joe Weaver.
A proud veteran, Tony served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955, taking great pride in his service to his Country. Before and after his military service, he dedicated 30+ years to H.E.B. Grocery Store, where he worked tirelessly and rose to the position of Unit Director. His work ethic and commitment to providing for his family were unparalleled. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Tony found joy in hunting and relished the moments spent with his loved ones.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Maria, Virginia, Karla, and Magda for the tender care and love they provided to Tony in his later years.
A visitation for Tony will be held Friday, February 28, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM with a Chapel Service at 2 pm in Chapel of Angels, at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. A burial will occur Friday, February 28, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521.
