Alberto Toledo “El Gusano” Hernandez

Alberto Toledo “El Gusano” Hernandez, 71, of Bryan entered into rest on June 17th at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 20th at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Rev. Msgr. John McCaffrey as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 19th at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan, with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00P.M.

Alberto was born April 8, 1941 in Marlin, Texas, the son of Juan and Aurea (Toledo) Hernandez. Mr. Hernandez was a licensed plumberand retired from Bryan Construction Company. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian (Killough) Hernandez; a son, Eric Hernandez; brothers, Ben and Chris Hernandez; and a sister, Juanita Conterras.

Survivors include his children, Cynthia Kassner & her husband David, Albert Toledo Hernandez, Jr. & his wife Regina, Cecilia Dominguez & Laurencio Ramirez, Guadalupe K. Hernandez & wife Sylvia; brothers and sisters, Genobeba Salinas & husband Marcial, Antonia Castillo & husband Ramon, Steve Hernandez & wife Josie, Mary Garcia & husband Joe D., Linda Caballero, Marselo Hernandez & wife Cruz; 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
