Alfonso was born in Viesca, a city located south of the state of Coahuila, Mexico on January 8th, 1936. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria E. Romero and his two children, Nora E. Romero and Alfonso Romero, Jr.
He loved his wife and made sure she knew every moment up until her death. He would always remind us how much he missed her and would tear up whenever he did anything that reminded him of her. Such as folding his laundry since that was something they always did together or seeing a taco bell commercial because my grandma would always want their nachos. He focused all his energy after her death in taking care of their son, Junior, who had an unbreakable bond with each other.
He enjoyed watching his tv shows and sitting in his favorite chair along with his dog, Hooch. The two would be caught just hanging out with one another and his dog would follow him along the house or outside. Alfonso loved being outside with his plants. A hobby that he shared along with his wife and he did his best to keep up with. He worked in the fields in his early years but retired from the construction field in the early 2000’s. He was one of the more selfless souls and did everything in his power to make sure his family had everything they needed.
Alfonso will be forever remembered by his daughter, Diana and Husband Gumaro Munoz; son, Juan Antonio and wife Patricia Romero; son, Juan Gaytan; son, J.J Gustavo and wife Elisa Romero. His three grandchildren who he became a legal guardian to: son, Marcos Alfonso Castillo, daughter Josephine Jeannette Castillo and son Victor Alfonso Castillo, along with many other grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his dog, Hooch who stayed by his side till the very end.
