He was born December 25, 1952 in Fort Worth, the son of Carl Hayward Gatlin and Devilajane Elizabeth "Erwin" Gatlin.
Survivors include his wife, Lora Jean "Jones" Gatlin of Bryan; son, Rodney Gatlin and his wife Jennifer of Austonio, TX; grandchildren, Victoria Gatlin, Katlyn Gatlin, Jessica Gatlin, James Gatlin and Justin Wiseman; sister, Barbar Rees of Burleson, TX; nephews, Ronnie Tagle of Burleson, TX, Steven Tagle of Burleson, TX, Robin Brown of Willow Rock, TX; Doug Jones of Aledo, TX, Jason Jones of Aledo, TX, Joshua Pohl of Billings, Montana; nieces, Tommy Pohl of Billing, Montana, Abigail Pohl of Billing, Montana.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, February 12, 2012 at Memorial Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 13, 2012 at Memorial Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Peach Creek Cemetery.
