Dennis Ray Frieda

Dennis was born in Bryan, Texas and lived in the Bryan/College Station area his entire life. He graduated from Stephen F Austin High School in Bryan before beginning a career in the retail food industry. As a child, he loved playing baseball and later coaching his son’s Little League baseball teams. Dennis was an avid softball player in his early adult years and enjoyed playing tournaments with his friends well into his life. He was a loyal Texas A&M sports fan his entire life and loved following his favorite professional football team, the Dallas Cowboys.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, father Juel “Jake” Frieda, and mother Gladys Frieda Prilucik.

He is survived by his loving companion, Donna Gaston, and his son Justin Frieda and daughter-in-law Heather Frieda, along with three grandchildren, Tessa, Georgia, and Cal Frieda. He is also survived by his two sisters, Marilyn Englebert and husband Rob, and Judy Lollar, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A visitation for Dennis will be held at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan at 1:30 PM on Friday, October 9th followed by the funeral service in the chapel at 2:30 PM. Interment will follow at Smetana Cemetery.

Donations in Dennis’ honor may be given to the American Heart Association.
