Dennis was born December 19, 1935 in St. Paul, Minnesota the eldest of five brothers born to Stanley and Harriett Hurley. Dennis graduated from St. Thomas University in St. Paul and was a CPA/CFO for his entire career. Dennis proudly served our country in the United States Navy. His passion in life was golf and he was happiest on any golf course wherever in the world he was. Dennis was devoted Catholic and an active member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Bryan, Texas where he served as an usher, delivered Meals on Wheels and thoroughly enjoyed the Golden Years monthly luncheon.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Joyce Hurley; his son Kevin Hurley and wife Julie; granddaughter, Darby Hurley and grandson, Jarrett Hurley. He also had a “bonus” son, Garry Helgeson; granddaughter, Brooke; grandson, Caiden and great-granddaughter, Ashtyn; and a “bonus” daughter, Natalie.
A remembrance of his life and a Rosary service will be held July 7, 2022 at 10:00 am at the Aggie Field of Honor Cemetery Chapel.
