

Domingo M. Villarreal, 92, of Bryan passed away September 21, 2016 at the William R. Courtney State Veteran’s Home in Temple. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan, with the Rosary to be recited at 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM, Monday, September 26, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Rev. Msgr. John McCaffrey as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Bryan City Cemetery, with full military honors, provided by the American Legion, Earl Graham Post 159.
Mr. Villareal was born February 24, 1924 in Navasota, Texas, the son of Miguel and Petra Montemayor Villareal. He was one of eight children and the last surviving son. Domingo was married to Carmen Galindo in 1949. He and Carmen raised three daughters together and enjoyed 63 years of marriage before her death in 2013. He was a very hard working and loving husband, father and grandfather, always putting his family first. Domingo always believed in supporting his church and community and was active in the in the Knights of Columbus, DAV, VFW, American Legion. He was a machinist at the International Shoe Factory and retired from there after many years of service.
Domingo was preceded in death by his wife Carmen, and a daughter, Veronica Villareal Wilder.
Survivors include his daughters, Petra Maria Villareal Rodriguez and her husband Pablo, Sylvia Ann Villareal Martinez and her husband Johnny; son-in-law, Mark Wilder; sister, Luz Alaniz; five grandchildren, Carlos Rodriguez, Cristina Rodriguez, Laura Wilder Martinez, Ana Alicia Martinez Lambert, and Sara Wilder; three great grandchildren, Anthony Patina, Hayes Martinez, and Lucas Evan Lambert.
