

Donald Charles Landry, 61, of Edge, Texas, passed away Monday November 23, 2009 at Seton Hospital in Austin, Texas. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday November 27, at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan, Texas with Monsignor John Malinowski officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday November 25, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Donald was born February 21, 1948 in Lafayette, Louisiana. He eventually moved to Austin where he owned and operated Texlan-Co Construction, building homes and custom cabinets for 14 years. In 1992, he moved his company to Bryan, doing commercial construction and custom cabinets. After having heart transplant surgery, Donald had to give up his custom cabinet works. Donald was a member of the catholic faith and attended St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Bryan. He loved golf, fishing and watching his grandsons in everything they did. He was the Regional Central Texas Director for Life Begins at 40 Golf Tournament in Harlingen, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Harris Landry and Gladys Babineaux Landry. He is survived by his wife, JoAnna Wayne Landry, of Edge, Texas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Dawn Elizabeth and Larry Rosser and Dana Erin and Sean Roy, both of Lafayette, La.; son and daughter-in-law, Lance Philip and Devra Dobbins of Edge, Texas; brother, Joseph Harris Landry, Jr. and his wife Maxine, of Lafayette; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
