Donald Edward Rice, 90, of Bryan TX, passed away Feb, 22, 2022. Visitation is scheduled for Monday, February 28th, from 12 noon until time of Service at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. Internment will follow at Bryan City Cemetery with a reception to follow at Northview Baptist Church on Tabor Rd. for food and Tall Tales.
Donald Edward Rice was born on October 1, 1931 in Cross, Texas, to Walter and Avis Rice. He was a resident of Bryan ever since he was a young man, where he met his wife of 56 years Ruby, raised his family. He was a Veteran of the Korean war. He worked as a cowboy and cattle breeder. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandsons. He also enjoyed roping, bowling, volleyball, playing cards and dominos with family and friends.
Don is preceded in death by his wife Ruby Pearl Rice, his parents Walter and Avis Rice, his Daughter Donna Kay Rice, and his Brother Dalton Rice.
Don is survived by his daughter and son in-law Darlene and Greg Hodges, grandsons Heath and wife Suzanne Pipes, Donny and wife Stacy Pipes, Clay Nabors, Alan and wife Ashley Nabors, Chas and wife Johana DeHoyos, and five great-granddaughters, one great-grandson, His sister Earlene Massey, and many nieces and nephews, cousins, and countless friends and ole buddies.
Memorials may be made to Northview Baptist Church.
