

Dora Fuelberg Steele, 91, of Brenham, passed away July 10, 2013 at the Hospice Brazos Valley Inpatient Facility in Bryan. The funeral service will be 11:30 a.m., Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wiedeville. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at the Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Dora was born December 24, 1921 in the Wiedeville Community, the daughter of Oscar and Bertha (Burmeister) Fuelberg. She was raised in the Wiedeville Community and attended grade school there and Old Washington and Brenham High Schools in Brenham. Dora married Charles Wesley Steele shortly after he returned from serving in WWII. While living in Houston, Dora attended nursing school at Jefferson Davis Hospital becoming a registered nurse. Growing up in Wiedeville, Dora was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and became a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Houston, finally renewing her membership at Immanuel Lutheran Church when she moved back to Brenham.
Dora was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wesley Steele in 2009; her parents, Oscar & Bertha Fuelberg; sister, Hilda and Herbert Wellmann; brothers, Otto Fuelberg, Reinhard & Mabel Fuelberg, Edward & Carol Fuelberg, Robert & Mary Fuelberg; sister-in-law, Lydia Fuelberg; and her parents-in-law, Edward and Mary Steele.
Survivors include her brothers, Arthur Fuelberg, and Oscar Fuelberg, Jr. both of Brenham; sisters, Bertha & her husband Elmo Emshoff of Austin, Annie Marie & her husband Joel Lovell of Bryan; nephews, Vernon & Katherine Wellmann, Ralph & Patsy Wellmann, Tommie Wellmann & Yolanda Amaya, Gene Arthur & Nancy Fuelberg, David and Pam Emshoff, Dale & Patti Moore, Gene & Laurel Lovell, Ronnie Lovell & Lacy Wesolick; nieces, Merle & Ronny Kyzar, Pauline & Mike Hodges, Joyce Moore & Matt Comaitos, Tina & Robert Russ, Mary Dale and Billy Richardson, and Betty Fuelberg.
