Doroteo Lopez

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11am Saturday, May 15th at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 - 7 pm with a rosary service at 7 pm at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.

Doroteo was born February 6, 1943 in Petteway, Robertson County, Texas the son of Jose and Ygnacia (Ysaguirre) Lopez. He graduated from SFA High School in 1962. Doroteo proudly served our country as a U.S. Marine from 1963-67. He loved fishing, taking his stepson and his friends hunting, working on small engine repair, and gardening; growing tomatoes and chili peppers. Doroteo was a loving father, brother, grandfather and uncle.

Doroteo is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dora Vaca Lopez; brothers, Luciano, Raymond, Candelario, Felix, Angel “Blackie”, and Jose Jr. Lopez; sisters, Julia L. Rodriguez, Elena G. Garcia and Maria L. Quintero.

He is survived by his daughters, Carmen L. Vega and husband Oziel, Lisa Lopez and husband Sadhakathulla Inayathullah; stepsons, Richard Juarez and wife Cynthia, Paul Juarez and Phillip Juarez; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lupe and Tony Garcia, Irene and Jimmy Arevalo, Hilda and Juan Rodea, Marguarita Lopez; twelve grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
