Dorothy (Taylor) Perry

She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Aubrey Eugene Perry; brother and sisters-in-law, Dolores and Monroe Yokem, Nadine and Jake Perry and Kenneth Perry; niece, Jena Perry.

Dorothy is survived by her cousins, Betty and Jerry Byers of The Villages, Florida and Myrlene Shapley of Hope, Arkansas; brother and sisters-in-law, Jean and Donald Perry of Bryan, Texas; niece, Donna and husband, Don Adam of Bryan, Texas; nephews, Ron Yokem and wife Lee Ann of Bryan, Texas, Michael Perry and his wife Lisa of Humble, Texas and Ron Perry of Houston, Texas; great- nieces and nephews Stephanie and husband Trey Malechek, Courtenay and husband Loc McNew, Kirsten Donaho, and Brad and wife Brittaney Adam; great-great nieces and nephews, Tracy Malechek, Madison and husband Jordan Januse, Mackenzie Malechek, Ty Malechek, Colten Adam, Alexi Adam, Chance Donaho, Miller McNew, Claire Donaho, Murphy McNew and Avery Adam; great-great-great nephew Jack Januse.

After graduating from Hope High School, Dot moved to Houston and began her long career with Alamo Barge Company. She married her loving husband, Aubrey Perry in 1948. They enjoyed 48 years of love and friendship. They moved to Taylor Lake, Texas in later years where they enjoyed spending many hours fishing and socializing with their close family and friends.

Aunt Dot, as she was affectionately known by her family and friends, moved to Bryan in 1997 where she made many new and dear friends with whom she enjoyed, cooking, gardening and attending movies with. She also enjoyed spending time with all of her family. She lived every day to the fullest with a smile on her face and will be greatly missed by all.

Visitation will be from 12:00 PM-2:00 PM with the Service to begin at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 16, at Memorial Funeral Chapel, 1515 South College Avenue in Bryan.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, FUMC Bryan-Children’s Ministry or the charity of your choice.
