Emerald Beatrix Petroski

Emerald Beatrix Petroski, 27, of Bryan passed away Monday, September 27 at her home. Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 1st, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Msgr. John McCaffrey officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Thursday with a 6:30 p.m. rosary at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.

Emerald was born July 8, 1983 in Bryan to Charles and Henrietta (Cruz) Petroski. She graduated from Bryan High School in 2001 and Ashworth College in 2007. Emerald was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and also had many great loves in her life; she loved Dallas Cowboy football, shopping, tattoos, live music and especially her two dogs, Rudi and Kenzie. On a recent trip, she and her brother Jacob went to Chicago for the Lollapolooza concert to see her favorite singer, Chris Cornell. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, granddaughter, and a great mother to Julia. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Emerald is preceded in death by her grandmother, Julia Petroski, grandfather, Presiliano C. Cruz, and two uncles, Presiliano Cruz, Jr., and James Stokes.

She is survived by her beautiful baby daughter, Julia Presley Cruz Petroski; parents, Charles and Henrietta Petroski; brothers, Jason Petroski and Jacob Petroski; grandparents, Floyd Petroski, Al and Beatrice Minde all of Bryan; aunts and uncles, Mary Stokes, Olivia Ubernosky, Tommy and Karlisa Petroski, Larry and Sheryl Petroski all of Bryan, Diane and Duke Hadusek of Missouri; Godparents, Glen Ubernosky and Tess Villarreal; Godmother to Julia, Lana Petroski and numerous cousins.
