When I play pool I think of Amos. He was
a fine individual!

I'M LATE WITH THIS BUT EVIDENTLY AMOS MADE AN IMPRESSION ON ME.  WE MET AT THE VFW PLAYING POOL. WHEN EVER I WAS HIS PARTNER I LEARNED TO LISTEN TO HIS SUGGESTIONS BECAUSE IF I MISSED A SHOT HE WOULD BE IN AGONY.  WHAT A POOL PLAYER. WHAT A GREAT INDIVIDUAL.  HAIL MARY FULL OF GRACE.

To the Menchaca Family my heart is broken and I know your heart is to. I have lost a true friend and brother. We have spent a lot of time together working, laughing, talking and just having fun . I will truly miss him. Erma you had a awesome husband and the kids had a awesome father, he was also a awesome grandfather and brother. I gain strength just knowing how close to God and how strong his faith has been the last few years. Erma I am praying for you and the family. We love y’all and call if you need anything. My Dear Friend Amos my heart has been very heavy, but yet at Peace for you brought much joy, laughter and spiritual guidance to us all at AM 6 TAMU at 
 then Riverside Campus. Even through your own struggles you were able to lift the spirits of anyone that crossed your path. To me you were the Domino King at AM 6. You my Friend will forever be in my Prayers till someday we meet again so Pray for me, what we have lost in this temporal life God has gained in the Eternal.

I will miss playing pool with you. You were an awesome player and would always give me advice after we played each other in tournaments win or lose. The Almighty has a plan for all of us and his plan with you in done here on earth and now has called you home. God Bless you and your family and may you rest in peace. 

AMOS!!! I will miss absolutely EVERYTHING about you. Wish I could have thanked you in person for every single thing you've done for us. I'll miss the good talks we had, you encouraging me to keep going up and give anything I do my all, gossiping, and you just giving me a hard time at times! You were truly someone who believed in me!  Anton will really miss you spoiling him and showing him so much love! I promise to always keep your memories alive. I love you and will miss you so much until I see you again. 

I will miss you cuz when we would see each other in the store or at McDonald's we will just stand there talking and laughing just glad to see each other,say hi to everyone up there rest in peace cuz 🙏🙏

Mr Amos you will be deeply missed by everyone who has met you always welcomed me in your home made sure I was comfortable. Prayers for the family Rest in heaven Amos 

I remember working with Mr. Amos at HEB back in 2010. He was always a sweet man and funny as heck. Always willing to lend a helping hand. He's going to be missed dearly. See you again some day :-(

Amos was a great person and friend. He took care of me at the VFW on Friday. I would pick him up we play and he would drive my car home and have someone from his home come pick him up and take him back home just to make sure I made it home safe. He didn’t have to do that but that what kind of friend he was. I’ll miss you my FRIEND. 

Prayers go out to the entire family. He was the friendliest of guys and never met a stranger.   I met Amos when he started coming and playing pool and boy what a good player he was. When Randy would get called that he was up against Amos it was “oh man it’s Amos “ and he knew he better not miss against him.  I enjoyed watching him and talking to him. Rest easy Amos.  We will miss you !! 🙏 

Amos I will truly miss you my brother. Our path started when we were very young boys. I will miss our conversations at the McDonald’s parking lot. I will miss going to Snook sitting outside the little store and eating summer sausage, cheese, and crackers. I will miss our drives down Sandy Point Road to Mumford and back down Highway 21. I will miss our conversations about family, life, and God. I remember when you join the Navy in September 1972. So I told you I would join the military too and I joined the Army in December of 1972. I remember when you were on leave and I was on  leave we  go spend time together had some good times to military guys from Bryan Texas. I remember when the last time we went to top of the Hill to get a hamburger. There was a woman that wanted the table that we were sitting at. And you said John boy we got to hurry up and get up that  lady wants the table. I looked around there were other tables so I told the lady that she could sit someplace else. You almost had a heart attack.  I even ordered dessert on purpose and the lady left. Then you told me on the way home John boy tu tas pesada. Then I told  you as veterans that we have all the right to sit and do what ever we want. You just shook your head at me and we both smile. I love you Amos and I will forever miss you my friend. You ran a great race here my brother and I know that you are sitting at the table with God right now Hallelujah Hallelujah Amen 🙏  Now Amos I will say to you Tu Tas Pesada brother 🙏🇺🇸

Amos was such a sweet soul and a great friend, I learned a lot from him playing pool and always joking around that if he broke and ran the table he would have to give me my 50 cents back. I'm really going to miss you and my thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends😢💔

Everyone knew that if you played Amos in pool you better break and run the table otherwise you were going to lose! Amos was the sweetest person I know and we will all truly miss him! Our thoughts and prayers are with the family!!
