Emily Martha Bishop

Emily Martha Bishop, 64, of Bryan, passed away November 9, 2016 in Bryan. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. A celebration of her life is scheduled for 11:00 AM, Monday, November 14, 2016 at Memorial Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the New Bethlehem Cemetery.

Emily was born March 25, 1952 in Brazos County, the daughter of Floyd and Mary Dawson. She was a Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, Fisherman, Caregiver, Loved Garage Sales, Friend, Bingo Player, Traveler, Explorer, Provider, Builder, and Gardener. “I'm a Strong Women, Ass Kicker, Intuitive, and Smart as Hell.”

Survivors include her mother, Mary C. Dawson; five children, Tammy Prieto & her husband Pete, Charles Bishop, Manitou Bishop & his wife Jenny, J.R. Duran & his wife Heather, and Chello Duran; three sisters, Maurine Dana & her husband John, Kathy Dawson & her husband Lang Smith, and Rhonda Mosley; two brothers, David Dawson & his wife Helena, and Floyd Dawson; eighteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
