

Frank Charles Ribardo, 91, peacefully passed away on August 28, 2013, in his home. He was a lifelong resident of Bryan, Texas, and a lifelong member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. A rosary service is scheduled for Friday, August 30, at 7:00 p.m., with visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. A funeral mass of celebration will be held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church on Saturday, August 31, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Frank was born to Pete and Rosie Ribardo on August 9, 1922, in Bryan, Texas. He served his country overseas in Calcutta, India, as a radio operator during World War II. He met and married the love of his life, Vivian Wilson Ribardo, before his deployment. Upon his return, Mr. Ribardo opened a radio and television repair business housed in his father’s grocery store. He eventually took over the grocery business, giving many purchases on credit with nothing more than a handshake.
Mr. Ribardo was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Ribardo, parents, Pete and Rosie Ribardo, his sisters, Joby Giarratana, Carrie Nuche and Lena Scamardo and two infant daughters, Linda Kay Ribardo and Marilyn Ribardo.
He is survived by his son, Tommy Ribardo and wife, Joy, his daughter, Gerilyn Kleckley and her
husband, Kenneth and his brother, Charles Ribardo and his wife, Mary Sue. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Tommy Ribardo, Jr., and his wife, Debra, Cristan Tejeda and her husband Sean, Jon Kleckley and his wife, Amanda, Luke Kleckley and his wife, Jordan, Paul Kleckley and his wife, Dayna, Ben Kleckley and Mark Kleckley. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
