Helen Frances Matous

Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, November 16 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan with a Rosary being recited at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday November 17 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bryan with Msgr. John McCaffrey officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Bryan.

Helen was born in College Station on April 7, 1930 to Felix and Hattie Busa Kapchinski. She attended school in College Station and graduated from A&M Consolidated High School. She was a lifetime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bryan, and was a member of the K.J.Z.T. Helen loved to cook, garden, care for flowers, animals, and hummingbirds. She loved caring for her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Henry Kapchinski; and two sisters, Chris Sechelski and Ann Fojtik; and niece Peggy Kapchinski.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years Frank Matous; one daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth Anne Matous and Mike Swetish; granddaughter, Sara Swetish; and one brother Louis Kapchinski; and numerous nieces and nephews, all of College Station.
